Athflow. The questions: what is it, where to buy it, and how to wear it will all be answered in this post.

While on my first date with my husband, I asked his last name.
Sorry, mom, I didn’t know it before I said yes to dinner.
“Hancher,” he said.
God bless you?!?! Uh, did he just sneeze? WTH did he just say?
This was all a very rich conversation in my head.
“I’m sorry, can you say that again?” I asked as sweetly as I could.
“Like rancher with an H. Hancher” he replied.
Wow, that name sucks, I thought. Coming from someone with the last name Amatore that’s saying something. I didn’t know at the time that all these years later I’d be using the rancher with an H explanation each time I book an appointment, make a dinner reservation, or check into a hotel. Hard to spell, pronounce, and understand last names are part of my identity.
Today’s blog subject, Athflow, rolls off the tongue just as awkwardly as Hancher and leaves people just as perplexed as I was on my first date with my husband many moons ago.
So, what does Athflow mean?
Athflow is a new style trend that is a combination of athleisure wear and comfy cozy loungewear. It can take you from your Peleton yoga class with Kristin McGee to that 100th work Zoom call of the week, and finally to the couch for your Netflix binge sesh. With no wardrobe change. Flexible clothes for a comfy lifestyle that allow you to flow easily to different parts of your day.
Who is Athflow for?
The Athflow trend works for all body types that seek comfort and style. It’s all inclusive. Gotta love that about a trend. Goodbye to slacks that pinch you at the waist. Kick that blouse that causes gaposeous to the curb. And see ya never to that tight skirt that rides up when you walk or sit or do anything at all. Athlfow provides a loose fit, allowing for unrestricted movement, is usually some kind of knit, and is always comfortable.
The color schemes are often monochromatic neutrals (but I found some great pops of color) which makes it easy to pull together an outfit quickly. This trend is perfect for anyone who uses a capsule wardrobe to dress. It’s all about ease and simplicity.
Comfort is king in this semi-post pandemic world. But if you still want to look good while remaining comfortable, this is your trend, hop on board. I’m not totally sure how I feel about Athflow clothes, but I do know from my clients that comfortable clothes are what it’s all about for the foreseeable future. I do believe that comfortable and stylish can co-exist and I think that retailers have finally heard our middle aged cry for both at the same time!

Other Athflow ideas
There are loads of options for an Athflow look. You could do a linen blouse and pants or all cotton sets. The Hill House nap dress with a turtleneck under it for winter, but you may not want to wear this on the yoga mat. Up to you, no judgment from me. Get creative and learn to wear your clothes in ways that you haven’t thought of before. This concept is new and I don’t know how long it’s going to be around. But I do think that comfortable fashion is here for a while, so get while the gettin is good.
