I’m really serious, pull over.”
“Craig, ugh! What do you want!!!”
He swings his leg over his Schwinn banana seat bike like it’s a Harley Davidson and struts up to my sister and me.
“I’m gonna have to give you girls a ticket.”
“A ticket, for what? You can’t give us a ticket.”
Hands on our hips in total defiance of this wannabe kid cop.
Mini spiral-bound notebook and pencil in hand, he writes out the ticket.
Infraction: Riding our bikes. On a public street.
He rips the paper from the notepad, hands it to us, and rides off.
My sister and I storm into the house, furious with the nerve of this kid. This was not our first shake-down by this kid cop.
Craig was the neighborhood oddball growing up. He tortured my sister and me.
I think what bothered me the most was the thought that I’d broken a rule. I am a rule follower, always have been. This made-up ticket really got under my skin.
I wonder if Craig ever got to be a real cop? I sure hope not.
So what’s this got to do with style, you ask? It’s about following the rules. As stated, I like to do what I’m supposed to, at least most of the time. One of those is wearing a bra, every day, even if you’re at home. To maintain some level of decorum and be comfortable during shelter in place, I explored bras without underwire. The Curvy Bra is made for larger chest sizes, so everyone can get in on the bralette trend. They are pretty, covered in lace, come in several colors, and so, so comfortable. The only negative is getting it on can be a challenge, but nothing worse than a regular jog bra, but with a much better look and feel once it on.
This discovery piqued my interest, and I did a little research on some other comfort bras, and below are a few that I think are worth your time.

The Cosabella Never Say Never Curvy Sweetie Bralette is so pretty and so comfortable. It comes in 24 colors, is made in Italy, and did I mention, it’s comfortable? I even wear this under a loose t-shirt and it works. And, you can buy the set with matching underwear if that’s your thing.
The Spanx Bralellujah is a very basic comfortable bra. It comes in three colors, and is made of smooth material. It’s a great bra to wear under a fitted t-shirt or clingy fabric. This is a very practical option.
What’s great about the True Body Triangle Convertible is it can also be a racerback style. It’s comfortable, doesn’t give you that same look as a jog bra, but provides tons of support. This one comes in 6 different colors.
While these may not be ideal in an office setting, while at home, the grocery store, running small errands these will do the trick. Give you the lift you need, and the comfort you desire. All a welcome change when it comes to wearing a bra.
