The ultimate holiday gift guide for 2020

2020, what is left to say about you?

With such a unique year, and so many of us tested in ways we never thought possible, I thought that a gift guide for 2020 should be as unique as the year.

Challenge accepted.

I looked around for unusual, one of a kind gifts, small shops (who really need your support now more than ever), each business included in my gift guide is women owned and operated, and many of these companies give back in some way. These are gifts you can feel really good about giving or buying for yourself.

Below the gift guide are all the details and links that you need to shop your heart out.

I’m going for a low stress vibe this year. I hope the gift giving season is easy, fun, and rewarding. I’m going for a low stress vibe this year.

I wish the same for you.

For each scarf that you buy, they donate one to a woman going through cancer treatment. They have beautiful designs, and it’s a gift that keeps giving. For giving Tuesday (12/1/20) when you buy one scarf, they will be donating TWO. A great reason to head on over now to make your purchase.

2) Lele Sadoughi: this accessories designer has quite the resume. A few highlights are Rebecca Taylor, J. Crew, and Tory Burch before she began her line. While her signature item is the headband, I love her jewelry, especially this collection that I’m linking here, it’s pearl and rhinestone studs. Take a peek around all of her things, there are lots of great gift ideas on her site.

3) Doe a Deer Designs: this female designer brings a vintage vibe to all her products. They are fun and kitschy and these tea towels would make great holiday hostess gifts.

4) Xula Handmade: If you’ve been following me for a while, you know I’m a big fan of this company that supports female artisans in Mexico. All products are handmade and the women who make them are paid a fair wage, this company is ethical and sustainable. This set that I’m linking you to is a steal, you can give the whole set as a gift or break it up for multiple people. There are many different gift sets or individual items to purchase, so look around the site once you get there.

5) Victoria Rose Savon: this is a mother-daughter team that is creating luxurious bath and body products influenced by time spent living in Paris. You know I love anything French, so of course, I purchased a couple soaps and the salts. All of them are beautiful, moisturizing, and smell amazing. The customer service is over the top, they use all-natural products, and donate to wildlife and international children’s charities. They have a deal going for 20% off your entire order. Enter the code VRS20HOLIDAY at checkout. These would be great stocking stuffers or gifts for the ladies at the office.

6) Passion and Growth: this is a subscription box all about personal development. Why didn’t I think of that?? They provide tools such as books, journals, beauty products, jewelry—you name it. Their tag line is: Live Unapologetically. Love Unconditionally. You can buy someone a subscription to receive a box monthly, or just a single box one time. That someone could be yourself, I won’t tell.

7) Nest Pretty Things: this jewelry is designed and made at the cutest little cottage studio in Vermont. These designs are whimsical and unique. There are lots of fun colors and it’s a great price point. These are great gift ideas for your girlfriends or your kid’s teachers.

8) The Avenue: this store, holy smokes. It’s a combination of clothing and home items that are very well curated by Lyndsey Zorich the shop owner. The home items are breathtaking, the plate in the photo for example is made in Italy, this is a pre-order item. This is a great spot for one of a kind gifts for the girl on your list who has everything.

9) Elimu Girls: this is a non-profit focused on empowering young girls in Kenya by teaching them to design and sew clothing. Your donation for this set of cookies with edible markers allows your budding fashionista to try her hand at design. This set was created to honor 3 girls who went through the Elimu Girls program and worked with a big time designer on creating a dress for Fashion Week in Paris, 2019. What an amazing program. Your gift would help empower these young women as they try to make a better life for themselves. This gift is also 100% tax deductible.

10) Kim Hancher Style Coach: one thing we are all going to need after all this time of being home in our sweats, is a refresher on style. Give the gift of being able to dress with confidence—a service with yours truly. I have services listed on my website, but I’m also happy to create something custom for you.
