Six things I’m loving right now

Lucky 13.

I was born on the 13th of January, so I think the number is lucky. Sometimes you have to make your own fortune out of things.

But today is your lucky day because I’m sharing things that I’ve either had in my cart for days (perhaps even weeks) or keep looking at longingly because, well, I think they are really beautiful. I’m becoming practical in my old age and purchasing items willy nilly is no longer my thing. I try to make smart clothing choices that fit my lifestyle and feel good on. Long gone are the days of wearing something that I cannot wait to rip off my body when I get home because it’s pinching or pulling.

I truly believe comfort and style are not mutually exclusive. The items I choose for you today offer both. I hope you enjoy it. As usual, please click on the photo for details and to shop for any of these items.

The pattern of this dress reminds me so much of my grandmother. The style does not, she would never wear anything this impractical! I love it though and if I had a fabulous wedding or party to attend, I’d snatch it up, ridiculous price tag and all. It’s also Italian like me, so there’s that.

This may be my summer bag. Fun, flashy and practical all at the same time, and you can’t beat the price. It also comes in silver.
This would be a great addition to your capsule. The link for this is to get on the email list of the company, this releases on Thursday. It’s a classic piece you’ll likely have forever. -

I have a pair of really awful sweat shorts that everyone in my family hates, so these would be a serious upgrade. I’d wear them all summer long as my lounge wear, bathing suit cover up, and errand running foundational piece. -

This style is called The Butterfly Dress. LaliKids makes mostly kid clothes, but has a Mommy & Me line. My girls wouldn’t be caught dead in a smaller version of anything I wear. But if you’re into that sort of thing, this brand has some great options. -

I hope this inspires you to finds something in your closet that you forgot you had, but you love. Pull it out put it on. Find items in your closet that you’ve never worn together and wear them. Put accessories on with garments you’ve never worn them with. Have fun, play. In doing so you may find some gems in your closet.

Please share this with a friend who could use some style love.
